On Friday 15th March, 2016 our local Harrow West MP, Gareth Thomas MP, visited the school. The children were very excited to meet him and some had already met him at the Houses of Parliament as part of the School Council visit. Mr Thomas explained to the students the workings of parliament and answered lots of interesing questions posed by the students. He also toured the school and met with Governors, the Headteacher and the school Proprietor.
Year 1 started the term by getting their hands dirty whilst planting spinach and peas as part of their science topic!! We will be logging the growth and size of our plants over the next few weeks inshAllah.
Year 2 kicked off their first PSHE lesson of the term discussing the different characteristics needed to become a good friend. The children agreed that sharing with each other and being nice are some of the important things we need to do to have a good friendship. They enjoyed drawing pictures and writing captions about their ideas of friendship. This will be put together to make their very own book titled 'Friendship'!
