Year 1 were thrilled to see many of the wild plants and trees they have been learning about, during their visit to the farm. We found dandelions, daisies and lots of nettles too. We also discovered that cows love to eat dandelions!!
KS1 had a fantastic time during their visit to Willows Activity Farm. We learnt about animal homes, fed the goats and cows, watched the milking process and then tried the technique on Daisy the cow, petted and held hamsters and rabbits, watched a duck show and a sheep race, had a ride on a tractor, drove our own JCB trucks around a track and even enjoyed playing in the indoor and outdoor activity areas which had bouncy castles, slides and a zip wire!!
A brilliant trip with beautiful weather too!
Year 3 were captivated by Shakespeare's 400th Virtual Trip as they participated in this live broadcast and learned many interesting facts about Shakespeare's home town.
On Friday 15th March, 2016 our local Harrow West MP, Gareth Thomas MP, visited the school. The children were very excited to meet him and some had already met him at the Houses of Parliament as part of the School Council visit. Mr Thomas explained to the students the workings of parliament and answered lots of interesing questions posed by the students. He also toured the school and met with Governors, the Headteacher and the school Proprietor.
KS1 were excited when the librarian offered to read them stories about Mother's Day during their visit to the library today. They heard how the characters in the three different stories loved and respected their mums. KS1 also recited a nasheed about mums during the Charity Fitness Assembly for parents on Monday 29th February 2016.
